Fabulous presentation(!!) with tons of amazing information, so thank you! Interestingly, I have long suspected studies that show wine as being beneficial to be somewhat suspect, maybe even sponsored by the wine company? That said, I have discovered over the past 11 years that one glass of wine dials down my over-reactivity to chemicals and EMF. I have something called Multiple Chemical Sensitivity & Electrical Hypersensitivity (MCS & EHS), for the past 21 years, wherein the amygdala/limbic system cascade down various effects from the brain through the body from even minute exposures–being around someone who has had chemo, for instance, or even a dental x-ray etc. I was even crazily reactive to being in a room with plastic bags, nylon, or acrylic–thank goodness I have managed to “treat” for this with NAET, a very interesting modality which resets the brain’s operating system (my description here).
Of course, this effect of wine is temporary (your description of being energized slightly and then the effect wearing off parallels my experience exactly) but it seems to “re-set” me for the evening, since I have the wine with dinner. In other words, I am using it medicinally.
I would love to find a substitute and have randomly tried various amino acids with the attempt of producing a reduction in a symptoms or dialing down of the stressor, but am failing miserably. (as I am well aware of the detrimental effects of alcohol.) For 15 years I drank zero wine, which probably enhanced my skin dramatically, and would much prefer reverting to this behavior. But need a substitute. (I don’t like exercising in the evening or I would go for a swim or hit the gym for a bike–both of these are phenomenal at changing the brain, for me. Or skiing.)
What about supplementing with SOD (Superoxide dismutase) as an adjunct for the wine? What about acetyl-L-Carnitine (which I love)? What about milk thistle? I have used these regularly and have found them to be amazing.
Any comments here would be so welcome, especially on how to replace that glass of wine. 🤔🙏🍷

Oh yeah, one of these on Cannabis would be great. No on really disputes alcohol is bad for you, but Cannabis is commonly said to be fine because it’s natural. What is really the case?

I wonder if is there a more in depth talk on how to improve cognitive capacity after being an alcoholic for over a decade or two.

Amazing lecture explained in such great detail and absolutely accurate! Maybe the next one will be on how we humans can achieve the natural high that we are absolutely capable of but many will lose tons of money if we start practicing it.

The wine in biblical time was weaker in alcohol content than todays wine. A study was done one glass today is like 24 glasses back then.

Thank you Thank you Thank you! This makes so much sense to me at a time when I really needed the message. My body has been speaking to me but even at 54 my brain needed the education. I must abstain to be my best self which I am trying to be! I expect I will be replaying this often over the next week to let the message continue to sink in. No more excuses.

Great work. My only caveat is with this study about people drinking on average 14 hours per week. There is a HUGE difference between drinking 14 drinks in one day as opposed to drinking two drinks per day. There is a huge factor not being addressed there. That factor is blood concentration level.
Then again the person who drinks 14 drinks in one day has the whole week for the body to detox. It seems to me there are a lot of variables not being tested there.
Is the person who drinks 2 drinks every night receiving the same physical effects as one who binges 14 drinks in one night?
William Martin
Dude 2 HOURS? I thought about watching it but just. couldn’t; shouldn’t be more than 15 minutes.
