  1. for the development team roles at 17:50 it is written they are “self-organising rarely means self-managing” what does that mean
??? like if you could provide some explanation on that.

    1. The team organizes how they work and manages how they work, but they are not responsible for traditional “HR” type management responsibilities like salaries, vacations, reviews, etc.

  2. Thank you very much… its very helpfull for having big picture of Agile and Scrum

  3. Team I have a doubt if sprint itself is an event and every ceremony falls under it why consider that as a separate event

    1. The Sprint is considered an event of 1 month or less. It is an informal event but still an event. The Sprint is the event container for all that is done during it.

  4. Here’s the jist….
A project manager provides the features and objectives of the product or service.
A scrum master breaks down those objectives into mini-goals called sprints and communicates the objective of that sprint to the development team. When a sprint is completed, they provide feedback that the sprint’s objective was completed or what else needs to happen.
A development team completes the sprint asap and provides a finished product for feedback from the scrum master and product owner.
Am I missing something? Everything else seemed like commonsense, like improvise, adapt, and overcome, and continuing a feedback loop of communication on the status of the objectives of the misson (product/service).

    1. No you have not got it correct. I suggest you watch the video again and read the Scrum Guide. There is no project manager in Scrum. The Scrum Master doesn’t break down anything they support the team. Users and other stakeholders provide feedback, etc.

  5. If a company can’t afford to hire a scrum master, but wants to operate in Scrum, can the product owner serve the role of a Scrum Manager?

    1. They can take on those accountabilities as well although we recommend someone else as that can cause a conflict of interest and possibly the wrong behaviors vs supporting the whole team.
