  1. Hey guys, Hope you enjoyed the video! I know a large percentage of my audience are designers, but I’m intrigued, I want to know what the other half of you do for work? Let me know and hopefully I can create some content that can be of use. Appreciate all the support as always, y’all the best 💛

    1. Hi Abi!! I’m in the works of opening up a small business making candles. I found your channel a few months ago when I was searching how to make my own logo and artwork on Adobe. I have fallen in love with your work and your channel ever since! You are always booked everytime I check your website, but I would LOVE to work with you one day. Until then, I love learning from your channel as a small business owner ❤. I would love to see in future videos, as a small business owner looking to build a brand, what are some important key elements I should look to or how to in building my brand for dummies. Thank you for all that you do!!! ❤️

    2. I work in marketing 🙂 but at the moment I am learning graphic design basics as a large part of my job is hiring freelancers and I want to understand how to order the best possible content and stay on brand 🙂

    3. @Greta Jocienė Yes this is such a smart way of approaching it! I plan to do the exact same when getting my new website. Learn more about web design so I know the fundamentals and what to ask for!

    4. Hi Abi I’m from india Am doing Graphic designing from last three year now am planning to move in uk can you guide how i can get job there

  2. Abi I see u always do mock up but I just see the them magically can u do a small video on how u do ur mock ups pls because I always see them magically like am sleeping 😴 ..

  3. Hats Off To Your Hard Efforts. I Can Literally See The Research And Time That You Have Put To Make It Possible. LOVE YOUR WORK ALWAYS. You Are Truly Inspiration For Designer. Keep It Up Mam.

  4. Very good points made here about the difference between working on and working in the business. Absolutely crucial skill to be able to recognise and give attention to each area, especially if you’re working alone!

    1. Yes to this! So many business owners neglect the ‘working on the business’ aspect and wonder why their business isn’t growing! Thank you 😊

    2. @Abi Connick absolutely agree! It’s a balancing act. Fantastic video by the way 🙌

    3. @Abi Connick you definitely go the extra mile with the editing and it doesn’t go unnoticed, you deserve all the success that you’re getting! 🙌 I’ve just put the first video up on our channel so have a new found appreciation for how long it takes to do even the simplest things, we’ve a long way to go yet until the quality is up to scratch! Lots of hard work and practice ahead, inspiring to see others who’re further down the line and doing well. Keep at it 👌

  5. I really want to know how you edit your video with what program and where do you find all this audio like clicking and stuff

    1. My partner edits my videos, he uses premiere pro and after effects and get’s all his assets from envato!

    1. Hey, I don’t always use my iPad but the main go to’s are Apple notes, Notion and Procreate

    1. MacBook pro m1 max 🙂 I share this with my partner tho who’s a video editor so this is overkill for design!

    1. Thank you 🙂 So when first started I used the equation mentioned in this video: https://youtu.be/bWoDrPqVo-4 and over time as my skills, experience and knowledge grew so did my price, also I started taking on bigger projects. My best advice would be charge what you feel comfortable with and then raise it over time! x

    1. @J 100% have a video coming soon on this! you learn so much more from doing than learning any theory

    1. Thank you! 😊 He will be featuring in content in the future! I think he could give a lot of valuable business information to the channel as he’s the one who runs mine! Also plan to do a podcast together in the future

    2. @Abi Connick thank you very much. Looking forward to hearing from you both in near future on a podcast.

  6. Hi, im looking into a career change. i used to actually study media and film and dabbled in occasional photoshop and creating posters etc, ive come across some apprenticeships that give u a level 3 in content producer type qualification. would these be a good starting point ! thanks in advance

    1. My partner actually did this apprenticeship, it’s a good starting place (you probably won’t learn much from the coursework as most of the info is outdated) but it’s a good opportunity to get into a work place and build some experience!

    2. @Abi Connick thanks for the response ! Okay great so it’s more a foot in the door type position? I’m just being very careful how I go about this cause I’m transitioning from a decently paid job so I’m trying to make the short term salary sacrifice as least painful as possible. But I do believe long term it’s worth investing in your happiness and being bold to change it all around
