Antwerp Pride, Jeffrey’s, Marie Antoinette, Armand Everaert win 2023 Touristico Gaylive Awards

Touristicogay and Gaylive arranged their Touristico Gaylive Awards to reward LGBTQIA+ efforts in Flanders and Belgium Sven Boutsen ( Touristico & & Touristicogay) and Marc Dirix (Gaylive) host the podcast Touristico Gaylive together.

Pipi’s/ Ivana’s Crazy Bus Trip throughout Darklands won the award for LGBTQIA+ Tourist Activity Darkland’s Fetish City Stroll with Tanguy Ottomer was runner-up. The LGBTQIA+ trip at MSK art museum in Ghent can be found in 3rd.


Marie Antoinette on Theaterplein in Antwerp won the LGBTQIA+ New Bar award with 35%. Runner up was Jeffrey’s with 29%. Duplex on the Hendrik Conscienceplein in Antwerp can be found in 3rd with 14% of the votes.

Icon of the Year

Armand Everaert of the now closed gay bar Weird is Icon of the Year. Armand got 36% of the votes. The Strange was Antwerp’s earliest gay bar. Previous Antwerp Pride chairman Bart Abeel can be found in 2nd, now deceased Will Ferdy 3rd. Ferdy was the very first celeb in Flanders to come out as gay.
