I am in my second year in my accounting program and I had a late start at 28 because I came from the science/healthcare feild. Why you may ask, because I always like sitting on my tussy rather than standing on my feet all day . Just joking! well I think you two are just LOVELY! I am not in the UK but I am in the Caribbean (The Bahamas ) and I am considering to transferring to a top UK or Canadian school so I can end my education there and get my high paying salary , Ha Ha!

@summerrr1 – I disagree, because I used to work at EY and found them all to be very personable and friendly. They were also very dedicated, hard working & wanting to learn all about the new structures and changes in laws & statutes on accounting & finance to improve themselves for career advancement. You deem them miserable, but only from your perspective, it appears to me you were obviously in the wrong role.

Hello, I’ve got a degree in biomedicine, however I want to pursue a degree in accounting. I do not have a-level in maths, could you recommend the best route for me to take to become and accountant. Thank you

You don’t need a degree in accounting to become an Accountant. What you’d need is a training contract from a firm if you want to do the qualification that I did for Chartered Accountancy, which is called the ACA by ICAEW.
In terms of training contracts, I’d highly recommend training with a small to medium sized first. Type in “Top 50 Accountancy Firms UK” into good and start at number 50 and work your way down.
Be thorough and learn what their requirements are and apply.
For your existing degrees, did you get a 1st? 2:1? 2:2? 3rd?
