I was going to use flush hinges for my under stair cupboard doors but it looks like the European hinges aren’t as tricky to install as I thought. Ii seems that fathoming out the Blum catalogue is the biggest challenge! Thanks for doing the research on our behalf and for the clear instructions 👍

hi quick question got a cupboard and the door is wonky tried and straighening it with the internal screws but the comes out too much the door looks like the bit not on the hinges hang is slanted down any idea why? this was fited by some one else.

Fitter probably fudged it to try and get it to hang straight. Maybe take the mounting plate off and try and reseat it correctly.

I can’t see where the distance is to mount the mounting plate. In your pdf I see it says T plus 38.5mm but on page 79 of the catalog, I can’t see in anywhere

Great tutorial! But just one comment. You drilled the door part, great! Then you basically did an impossible thing and put your hand through the cabinet with the door closed to install the other side. For a real life application, I believe you have to have a dummy half door so you can reach inside to install the other half.

There must be a way to make adjustable hinges withou drilling holes ..it’s the most annoying thing ever ..it’s making those holes that stop me to make cabinets.. and “they” know it..some smart engineer must be able to come up with some solution

You need the whole for the hinge to go into. It’s not a big deal if you buy the right forsner bit.
