While on vacation in Lucca I immersed myself into the world of Grappa.

Among the regional Vino E Liquori stores did a Grappa with a picture of Lucca’s renowned Piazza Anfiteatro on the label.

Securely ensconced in my lodging a glass was put.

Clear white spirit shows a blanco grappa. This typically signifies unaged liquid– although it can be rested in steel vessels to ravel any rough notes.

There’s a younger freshness on the nose– however not subduing.

A smooth & & oily taste buds didn’t offer much away.

Smidgen of dark fruitiness on the surface integrated with a touch of irritable heat.

More of a novelty memento offering instead of a sipper.
