Who we are
ExpressPage ("we", "us") operates the website expresspage.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have. Questions: [email protected].
Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter; your name, email and message if you use our contact form.
- Information collected automatically. IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, time on page and approximate location (city level). This is collected by our own first-party analytics script (
/tracking/tracker.js) and by third-party services listed below. - Cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
- To deliver the newsletter you asked for, and to measure whether it was opened and which links were clicked.
- To reply to your messages.
- To understand which articles are read, so we can publish more of what's useful.
- To serve and measure advertising, including personalised advertising where you have consented.
- To detect fraud, abuse and security incidents.
Legal bases (UK/EU visitors)
We rely on consent for marketing emails and non-essential cookies; legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention and aggregate analytics; and legal obligation where the law requires us to retain records.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We display advertising to keep expresspage.com free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You may opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site; we do not control their cookies. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential advertising cookies, via the consent banner.
Our own tracking script
We run a lightweight first-party script at /tracking/tracker.js. It records page views, referrer, screen size, time on page, scroll depth, outbound clicks and — for newsletter emails — opens and unsubscribes. It stores a random, non-identifying visitor ID in your browser's local storage. It does not fingerprint you and does not sell any data. You can block it with any standard content blocker, and the site will still work.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with processors who help us run the site: our hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and our analytics and advertising partners. Each is bound by contract to use the data only on our instructions.
Data retention
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we don't email you again by mistake. Contact-form messages are kept for 24 months. Analytics data is retained in aggregate for 26 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Californian residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days and we will never discriminate against you for asking.
Children
expresspage.com is written for parents and carers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our servers and processors may be located in the United States. Where data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter.
