Today is your day…

Last Friday, the 13th of January, was my sibling’s birthday so naturally, we went out for supper together that night.

She welcomed 2 of her good friends too and yes, we had the standard Foochow durability noodles, the mee sua, fried …

… with the “golden” eggs by the side.

The Thai-style midin (wild jungle fern) with mango and jellyfish …

… was a hit– everyone enjoyed it a lot and the 4 Heavenly Kings (四大天王), fried with canned pork …

… too. It sure was a good modification from the normal fried with sambal dish.

My woman stated that this tofu meal …

… was as great as what we had at another location just recently and yes, this one had a lot more garnishes or included components.

The sweet and sour fish …

… was fantastic too– I liked how the sauce was on the light side and did not taste like tomato catsup directly from the bottle. This was the threadfin or ngor hu in Hokkien that I do take pleasure in a lot– no fishy odor, no little bones and an outright pleasure to consume.

We likewise had the Guiness stout pork …

… which was one meal that I had actually had a couple of times prior to however if I am not incorrect, the last time was a couple of years back in 2017. We likewise had it when my dear good friends from New Zealand concerned town in 2011 and in the middle of our discussion that night, someone discussed that formerly, the owner of this dining establishment was the chef at that a person that regrettably, did not endure the pandemic.

This was our second time at this dining establishment …

— the first time was likewise on my sibling’s birthday in 2020. We definitely delighted in the food and something’s for sure, we would absolutely be returning here once again. We likewise delighted in the business that night, overtaking wasted time … and yes, a really Pleased Birthday as soon as again to you once again, Bea. Might God bless you perfectly in the year ahead. Cheers!!!
